Then at 7:30 we will retire to the back room for a circle time, where we each work on our own connections with spirit and our guides. Also we will address and work with the meanings of symbols that come through. Let's talk about the astrological aspects effecting everyone on a global level for the first six month period of 2010.  Plus: Dolores will tae a look at  each attendee's natal chart and point out what energies each one will be working with.  

Dolores is a professional astrologer and will include some of the energies going on NOW, but you do not have to understand astrology to understand her lecture or seminar. She has the dynamic ability to assist us in understanding what energies are coming and possible ways for everyone to address them with empowerment.

This series of six classes is organized to encourage development of mediumistic abilities and awareness of (spiritual) energy. You will learn  the differences between energy readings and mediumistic readings, and how to use your awareness to enhance your mediumship. 

Classes include meditation, lecture, and practice using various methods that Katie Bay studied in England at the Arthur Findlay College.

A meditation, brief discussion, and awareness and mediumship activity in each class. Towards the end of the series, the awareness activities will decrease and we will practice more mediumship. As each class progresses, it will be easier for people to differentiate between a spirit communication and what they are picking up psychically. 

Day 1: An introduction to mediumship and awareness principles.  This class will focus on lecture to inform participants about what our goals will be during this series of classes. 

Day 2: In this class we will start with a review of the basic pricipals of mediumship and awareness. A meditation will follow, and then right into practice with an "energy from spirit" activity.We will also work in pairs during this class to bring forth individual spirit communication. We will conclude with a door prize.

Day 3: In this class we will start with a meditation, and then complete an awareness activity using divination cards. We will then have a brief discussion on mediumship techniques and practice with one-on-one readings. We will finish with a door prize.

Day 4: We will start class with a meditation, and then in pairs engage in a sensing activity. Afterwards, we will discuss platform readings, and then students will have a go on the platform! We will finish with a door prize.

Day 5: After a meditation, we will continue our practice with platform readings and one-on-one readings. We will finish with a door prize.

Day 6: This class will start off with a meditation, and also a brief review of all we have learned thus far. The practices in this class will focus on the identification of the spirit communicator, especially regarding the length of time it takes the sittee to recognize the spirit that is communicating. We will finish with a door prize.

Class 1: Animals ~ Their Messages & Meanings

This class will look at the animals in our everyday world and work on deciphering their messages to us. We will look at their Landscapes Habitats and Adaptation Abilities, Characteristics, to include Colors and Sounds, Lifestyles, (predator vs. prey) and Survival Methods, Numbers, Directions, Movements and more.

Class 2: The Healing Power of the Outdoors

The world outside our doors has so much to offer. So much that goes unnoticed and unused. We will discuss the various histories and methods of using this healing power. The topics will include Trees, Flowers, Colors, Numbers, Medicinal Plants, Homeopathy, Aromatherapy, Bach Flower Remedies and more.

During these times of increased activity and stress, it becomes important to understand what we are made of and how to better care for ourselves. We will discuss what it means to be an energetic being including an understanding of current events and its impact on our energetic systems. We will cover many disciplines: tai chi, chanting, grounding, Reiki, the Earth, bath salts, color therapy, the antekharana and your personal pot of gold, and also the hidden benefits of the *virtues* and how they relate to the I-Ching.

All exercises discussed will be low or no-load exercises.

While not necessary, comfortable clothing is recommended.

We will be studing why reflexology works, techniques and which natural living oils work with this technique of healing. Reflexology (zone therapy) is an alternative medicine method involving the practice of massaging or applying pressure to parts of the feet, or sometimes the hands and ears, with the goal of encouraging a beneficial effect on other parts of the body, or to improve general health Book of Foot Reflexolgy by Mildred Carter available for sale through the bookstore. 

Foot Reflexology is very old, and was practiced as an ancient form of pressure treatment that uses the application of focused pressure on known "reflex" points that are found in the foot. The various points correspond to areas on and within the body.  The age of those first practicing reflexology is not known. There is, substantial information that suggests Foot Reflexology and other forms of pressure point therapy may have been used as are back as five thousand years. This is noted both in China and Egypt. In fact, in Corinthians, in the bible, there are references which suggests that the early Christians knew about the practice and benefits. Perhaps the tradition of washing the feet and anointing the feet with oil carried medicinal significance, in addition to the traditional teachings associated with humility and being of service.  

When a person receives a foot reflexology treatment they may benefit from increased circulation as well as relaxation. A session promotes the release of tensions. But recipients have noted that this ancient tool does promote the clearing of emotional debris. And therapists have evidence that reflexology helps with the release of toxins from of organs, tired cells and tissues are rejuvenated, the auric field responds by balancing, the body is more grounded, and reflexology helps to facilitate other energy methods offering a synergistic effect.

Astrology is a study of planets, transitions, combinations and beliefs relating to these celestial bodies. We have only to turn to the authority of the Encyclopedia Brittanica, which defines astrology as a science: "The ancient art or science of divining the fate and future of human beings from indications given by the position of stars and other heavenly bodies."

The Astrological Association of North Florida (AANF) was first formed on December 27, 1973 by a dedicated group of astrologers who decided to pool their energies in the study of astrology. At the AANF meetings they address the various aspects of astrology and can highlight current events. The organization brings in guest speakers, takes advantage of the knowledge within the group to present the monthly programs. Everyone is welcome to come and attend. AANF welcomes all who know various systems of astrology, those who know little or nothing about the science of astrology to come and share in these gatherings.

The Astrological Association of North Florida is a member of the American Federation of Astrologers, a National organization which looks to research, using all of the tools of statistics, philosophy, and eons of experiences to lead the way into a better and more productive service to and for people. The American Federation of Astrologers, Inc. was established and incorporated to encourage the study of all scientific methods of astrology, both current and future, leading to the spread of astrological knowledge and its understanding throughout the world. AFA's mission is education, research, cooperation, progress.

The challenges facing people today are greater than at any other time in the history of mankind, and available solutions are more difficult to obtain. Astrologers recognize these conditions and want to participate in helping others to successfully meet the challenges of life.
