Astrological Insights
For July through September 2010

July begins with more intensity with energy relating around the Lunar Eclipse (6/25) your words & actions could get you into a 'situation' for the first few days. Keep in mind you can not take back your words!! Think before you speak. Your actions can align with your thinking; unfortunately, your minds are not quite as reliable as we might hope - so use care in your choices.
July 4 - Last quarter Moon - Aries In some cases, obstacles appear between one's emotions & one's sense of personal identity due to the square aspect of Sun-Moon. Moon Aries = moody, possibility manifesting energy. Dropping problems with the ego becomes the KEY to the key to this Moon. You can not change stubbornness, selfishness of others. Simply let it go enjoy & be yourself!
July 5 - Uranus Stations Retrograde (SR) 0 Aries @ 12:49 pm & will remain there till 12/5. Uranus - planet representing revolution, chaos, explosive energies, sudden changes. Retrograde (Rx) the influence of Uranus teaches us to handle uncertainty, particularly internal chaos. Many aspects of chaos & volatile or abrupt energies, & inspires the need for change & breakthroughs in the pursuit of freedom. This Rx cycle is for humanity to examine their revolutionary practices in order to make breakthroughs in the long run. Personally during this period be sure to set a standard for a certain degree of freedom in your life, so that you can stop & smell the roses through Summer & into Autumn. DO NOT let this time get by you with out kicking up your heals...CLAIMING your freedom is a good thing!!
 July 11 - NEW MOON SOLAR ECLIPSE (SE) 19 Cancer 24 @ 3:40 pm Time to make a new Lunar Manifestation List. Sun is a symbol for self, is obscured, so it isn't easy to see ourselves. Eclipse in Cancer, family or people who are like family are emphasized. This doesn't mean we should be dependent, but rather let our loved ones be a crutch to lean on while you are healing. Good time to get things organized. "Cleaning out your closet" excellent time to clear things out. You may have the feeling to streamline things. There is a possibility for explosive arguments, especially when people won't back down form their positions. This occurs near the
S. Node = emotions can be a trap & you must be careful not to be moody or succumb to viability. (Influences from SE last for 6 months or until the next SE - although they can carry on energies for a long time)
July 23 - Jupiter SRx 3 Aries 24 @ 8:03 am & will remain there till 11/18. For the next 4 months you may feel less optimistic & expansive, needing to rein ourselves in & stay grounded. Some will experience backsliding or difficulties in the areas of higher education, travel, media, promotion & legal affairs. Re-examine your philosophies. Try to create your OWN LUCK rather than to wait for breaks from other people or opportunities.
July 24 - Jupiter (3 Ar) Square Pluto (3 Cp) Will square again on 8/3 & 2/25/11. This aspect is in effect within a one degree orb from 7/5 to August 22, with the most difficult tine 8/8-9, when other planets are in the mix. It is difficult to push your agenda. Individual efforts & desires can be thwarted by bigger outside factors. The pace of progress is jerky around the times of this aspect, marked by all-at- once bursts interspersed with near stagnation.
 July 25 - Full Moon (FM) 3 Aquarius @ 9:37 pm Time to Burn
your Lunar Manifestation List. Today begins with vibrant energy until the Moon will be Void of Course (VoC) from
10:20 am till 3:38 pm. VoC Capricorn Moon = likely to bring some serious & determined moods stifled by idleness or uncertainty. Any activity during this VoC period will have
no effect, like it never happened - not a good time to start
project or sign documents may have to redo. As Moon
moves into Aq enlivens your senses with need to apply
clarity & definition. The mood of the day is likely to be blanketed in bizarre & unusual occurrences, and it's often idealistic & generous in some respects. It may seem to
be out-of-hand & downright unrealistic to others. This is a
good time to investigate, play around with ideas, seek answerers, invent, reinvent & celebrate knowledge.
July 31 - Beginning 7/31 Mercury moved into it's shadow period for the approaching retrograde. Everyone is feeling the retrograde energies Venus & Mars are the only planets not in Rx patterns. We are still in the "dog days" of summer! Lots of friction, feelings of rush except when it comes to being 'picky' then individuals take their time. You maybe
trying to figure out how to protect your own interests. Relationships strained, maybe even coming to close.

August 9 - New Moon 17 Leo 25 @ 11:08 pm Time to make a new Lunar Manifestation List. This is a time of self discovery. Leo is the optimist, & NM brings positive new perspectives to personal goals, as well as inspiring a fresh outlook on your image. You may feel the pull to begin a new lease on life! The desire for the latest fashion, hair style, etc is common place for this Moon placement (Leo). A new pattern of self-image & dignity can be created while the old pattern will have to be tempered & corrected. Images come from within & is generated by the sheer magnitude of one's will! YOU have room to grow if you will take the time to apply self-worth, self-respect, & discipline. This Moon also represents family & friends, & can be a good time to initiate a new lease on an old friendship or enjoy a favorite hobby with the family.
August 13 - Friday ONLY ONE THIS YEAR! Friday named for the Norse Freya Goddess of fertility. 13 is a sacred to Goddess worshipers, the number of Moon cycles in a year. The day was to be set aside, no work; but you can see how a patriarchal society would repress this custom.
August 20 -Mercury Station Rx 19 Virgo 02 @ 3:59 pm until 9/12 & out of the shadow (back to where it began) on 9/27.
BE CAREFUL HOW YOU APPROACH CRITICISMS, EVERYONE IS SENSITIVE ABOUT JUDGEMENT RIGHT NOW. Do not spend too much time going over recent communications with a fine tooth comb to tweak & refine them or ruminating over your imperfections. Attend to the most URGENT it important matters that truly do need correction & make detailed lists to head off future problems.
Venus conjucting Mars @ 13 Libra 35 Look to the West after sunset for this beautiful pair. Venus is the brighter one. Mars is redder. You will seek what pleases you & you are obsessive in trying to acquire it. Interactions between women & men are smooth. You will be graceful in physical activities & show a possible interest in team sports.
August 24 - Full Moon 1 Pisces 26 @ 1:05 pm Time to Burn your Lunar Manifestation List. Moon is opposite the Sun & brings out the psychic in everyone. People can be very sensitive, & as a result, some people express themselves in very artistic or perhaps nonsensical ways. Enchantment sets the stage for the Full Pisces Moon sets the stage early in the day. Dance, music & art are often activities with good imagination stimulated by Pisces. Pisces says "I believe" & while energies of FM it is vitally important to carry your beliefs wisely, as destructive tendencies may bring us down if we're not careful. Care with your view of self = low
self -esteem & possible substance abuse as illusionary Pisces rules the house.

September begins with energies of Rx planets still urging you into change, are you going peacefully, blessing your changes or are you going kicking & screaming? Keeping in mind we are on the wheel, living the cycles, on this plane of manifestation; you can will what you wish to create. Peace, harmony or chaos, strife? Wealth or lack? You create your reality. Mercury is still retrograde but you can still have fun, & live life to the fullest. This is the time of harvest, and the New & Full Moon's will assist you to make the most of this fruitful time use it wisely!
September 6 - Labor Day Waning Moon in Leo keeps everyone active & inclined towards introspective desires & needs. Leo Moon seems to put a swagger in your step! Again review Leo Moon for 8/9 same energies. Later Moon opposing Neptune = awakening your spiritual nature & impresses upon you the need to apply faith.
September 8 - New Moon 15 Virgo 41 @ 6:30 am Time to make a new Lunar Manifestation List. Moon conjucting the Sun invites you to start all over again with development process of your feelings. This Moon calls to you to apply enthused methods of discernment, a new way of analyzing & to apply caution. How about a new way of accounting or applying health practices? Finding fresh resources during this Moon time is a common practice. This is a good time to organize for the Autumn season, a time when making adjustments is essential. This time also helps you to prepare for changes that occur in the physical world. This is a time of harvest, & this Moon will assist you to make the most of this fruitful time with thrifty ingenuity.
September 12 - Mercury SD 5 Virgo 23 @ 7:09 pm Since 8/20
(7/31 shadow) Mercury has been Rx in Virgo commonly causing communication glitches & confusion when relaying information. Also, with this sign caused important information & data to undergo a tail spin. Now you can breathe a sigh of relief - although not out of the shadow until 9/27. Take note that your faculties & manner of communicating will definitely improve within the next few days. When Mercury SD freezes communications efforts, but soon communications will run smoother. This is a
GOOD time to clear up various misunderstandings occurring over the last few weeks during the Rx phase.
September 14 - Pluto SD 2 Capricorn 47 @ 0:35 am After a year long (continuing rest of the year shadow period) the energies of this planet of transformation has been challenging our world as we once knew it - stretching us all into a new world (age).
This is not the time to take life for granted; rather, it is a time to participate in making life better by consciously transforming fear into determination & despair into belief in yourself! Pluto is inviting everyone into a journey of transformation to build a new world for the generations to come.

September 18 - Jupiter conjucting Uranus 28 Pisces Jupiter largest planet expands the influence of whatever it touches, joins with the most unusual planet (which even spins in the opposite direction from all others yielding BIG SURPRISES or GROWTH SPURTS. September 21 - Autumnal Equinox 11:09 pm It's a magical time! This time of year calls to us to reach out to one another & to create a support system of helpful friends to prepare for
the season ahead& the darker colder days to come. People may be seeking some kind of pay-off for their suffering & sacrifice. Maybe knowing that they've been making
deposits in their "spiritual bank accounts" will help;
maybe not. There's still a lot of healing & commitment to cooperation required, though it does not happen easily or quickly. Love is in the air, & many people seek new relationships, which are likely to be based primarily on communication; listening non-critically is the key. People who shirk their responsibilities to their parents are likely to be shown the door. Watch out for impulsiveness in dealing with investments or financial matters.
September 23 - Full Harvest Moon 0 Aries 15 @ 5:17 am Time to Burn your Lunar Manifestation List. Moon reaches it's peak early in the morning & despite the fact that its fullness is maximized before sunrise, the momentum of its influences charges your spirits with an extra dose of energy. All the high pomp & hype of this time comes to a crescendo & is marked with the burning & willful force of the Aries Moon activity. A warrior spirit touches you, particularly with regard to the personal challenges in your life. Be prepared for the headstrong attitudes & potential rudeness. Avoid hastiness & impetuosity. Astrology is a study of planets, transitions, combinations and beliefs relating to these celestial bodies. We have only to turn to the authority of the Encyclopedia Brittanica, which defines astrology as a science: "The ancient art or science of divining the fate and future of human beings from indications given by the position of stars and other heavenly bodies."
The Astrological Association of North Florida (AANF) was first formed on December 27, 1973 by a dedicated group of astrologers who decided to pool their energies in the study of astrology. At the AANF meetings they address the various aspects of astrology and can highlight current events. The organization brings in guest speakers, takes advantage of the knowledge within the group to present the monthly programs. Everyone is welcome to come and attend. AANF welcomes all who know various systems of astrology, those who know little or nothing about the science of astrology to come and share in these gatherings.
The Astrological Association of North Florida is a member of the American Federation of Astrologers, a National organization which looks to research, using all of the tools of statistics, philosophy, and eons of experiences to lead the way into a better and more productive service to and for people. The American Federation of Astrologers, Inc. was established and incorporated to encourage the study of all scientific methods of astrology, both current and future, leading to the spread of astrological knowledge and its understanding throughout the world. AFA's mission is education, research, cooperation, progress.
The challenges facing people today are greater than at any other time in the history of mankind, and available solutions are more difficult to obtain. Astrologers recognize these conditions and want to participate in helping others to successfully meet the challenges of life.
We welcome you on your exciting and rewarding journey as you continue to explore astrology, the oldest of the sciences! There is no charge to attend. Should you wish to join there is an annual $20 membership fee. A complementary Natal Chart is given with Membership. We look forward to seeing you!

In these past several weeks, you have been receiving an influx of highly expanded spiritual energies that will be the seed for taking your next big leap. What do we mean by this? These expanded spiritual energies are a part of the acceleration of your ascension process—this means your own ascension and the ascension of the Earth.
Ascension has to do with your vibration. It’s about frequency and consciousness, both personal and planetary, meaning that as you change your frequency, your new energy begins to create a new type of energy on the planet. You see, you and other lightworkers are the creative force behind what you experience on Earth. It is your consciousness that drives the momentum of change. You decide what that will be.
Make the Transition out of Fear-Based Reality
This deciding is not a form of mentalizing, affirming or of using the logical brain; it can’t be forced with your will. It comes from your heart, from accessing and expressing the love and joy naturally within you. It is a process of moving out of the fear you have been ruled by for generations of time, and this process of moving out of fear-based conditioning isn’t an easy one. There is much to unlearn, much to remember and much to discover about how to skillfully make the transition out of third-dimensional reality. Reality in the third dimension is linear and fear-based. Fear blocks your ability to experience love and wholeness. It blocks your ability to tap into your joy, and sometimes it even causes you to sabotage yourself so that you can’t feel the joy naturally within you. When you live within that fear-based frequency, you cannot truly grasp the wonder of being a spirit in a human body. Your third-dimensional nature has little comprehension of other realms and worlds that exist. It doesn’t like change. This lower-density existence has been the human conditioning for over thousands of years on Earth, so do not judge yourself for experiencing it or label yourself as “wrong” when you still have moments when you find yourself stuck in 3D.
As you begin to see truth and rediscover your divine nature, you will ascend into a higher frequency of energy. This is an evolutionary process that occurs over time. In today’s 2012 window, as Earth moves closer to the galactic center, this evolutionary process is greatly accelerated. There’s no guarantee of how quickly your ascension will happen—that’s up to each one of you—but have you noticed that some days are easier than others?
Inviting a New Level of Truth
Most people can be fearless and loving some of the time. The challenge is to hold that higher frequency when someone criticizes you, when someone else gets the promotion or when you have a major loss or disappointment. It’s not as easy then. Your task now during this ascension process is to be unwavering in your determination and consistent in taking actions that come from your heart. You must do this, even when you see no immediate results. The need for immediate gratification, after all, is a trick of the ego and limited, third-dimensional reality. It is vital now that you develop an inner strength that helps you to approach the world from willingness rather than willfulness. An attitude of willingness can be patient and wait for positive energies to manifest. It trusts in the good and fuels you to consistently act in a way that spirals your energy upward rather than downward.
Your process now is learning to question the status quo from a state of fearlessness, inviting in a new level of truth that you could not hear before. This is something no other generation has done so quickly and with such rapid progress at the level you are doing it. Do not underestimate this on those days when you feel as if nothing is happening.
Shift Your Mind to a Higher Frequency
What is so profound about this time now is that you are learning to receive in a brand new way, in higher vibrations. There are levels of this new type of receiving, just asthere are levels of being able to be fearless. The key in this process is to begin recognizing the new level of truth you are receiving in the moment you are receiving it. It will be a multi-dimensional perspective—not three-dimensional—that gives you a bigger view. It won’t all be pretty or nice. You will see some things about yourself you’d rather not see. You will see things about other people and society that will have you wondering whether or not things are actually getting worse instead of better. At other times, the truth you reveal will bring you great joy. You will recognize an aspect of your divine nature, and in that moment, your recent difficulties will fade from your mind. It will be like coming home after a very long and challenging trip: You take a deep breath, look around you to discover familiar surroundings, and you find a comfortable chair. The tension you felt on your trip is gone, and you feel at peace. Nothing really changed, of course, except your relationship to your experience. You are able to shift your mind into a higher frequency. That changes what you experience.
Other examples of holding the higher frequencies include those moments when you feel so connected to all of life that it’s like floating in a sea of tranquility. These moments might happen when you are alone, or they could happen when you are in a group of people. When they occur, know that they are originating from within you, connectedto the higher frequency you are holding. It’s not about the external circumstances. What you are learning to do now is to hold these higher frequencies within you more of the time. Eventually, as you inhabit a fifth-dimensional reality, the new energies will become as normal as what you had experienced before. You will then look at your fifth-dimensional reality as if it were the norm.
Meanwhile you can expect some speed bumps along the way. For example, as you are learning to find your center, you will sometimes vacillate between the high blissful states and the lower states of fear. When this occurs, it may be challenging to fully anchor the bliss you feel into your physical reality, but ascension doesn’t mean leaving the planet and flying around in your bliss bubble. You are meant to bring spirit—and bliss—into your physicality.
The love and joy that you are needs to come into a full expression within you. Only then can you be free, happy and whole. That, in fact, is what each of you has come here to do. You are here to discover this jewel for yourself and to share it with others in your world. As you continue the journey of rediscovering your divine nature, we surround you with our love and blessings. We are the Council of 12.

Responsibility does not only lie with the leaders of our countries or with those who have been appointed or elected to do a particular job. It lies with each one of us individually. Peace, for example, starts with each one of us. When we have inner peace, we can be at peace with those around us. When our community is in a state of peace, it can share that peace with neighbouring communities, and so on. When we feel love and kindness towards others, it not only makes others feel loved and cared for, but it helps us also to develop inner happiness and peace. And there are ways in which we can consciously work to develop feelings of love and kindness. For some of us, the most effective way to do so is through religious practice. For others it may be non-religious practices. What is important is that we each make a sincere effort to take our responsibility for each other and for the natural environment we live in seriously.
